His cv is extensive and includes –
Conceiving the Award Winning Imagined Village project.

Produced Baaba Maal’s Lam Toro and the Grammy-nominated Firin’ In Fouta albums.

His work for adverts includes a Golden Pencil Award for Just Juice along with campaigns for the Evening Standard, Kahlua, Tchibo Coffee, Kangaroo Shoes and Gossard Bras.

He was a member of the band Scritti Politti.

He then formed the band Weekend and followed this with Working Week (these copyrights are controlled by Real World Publishing)

Produced the widely lauded Polysonic for acid jazz Godfather Manu Dibango.

Simon then put together the wildly ambitious Afro Celt Sound System.

Produced the Raw Stylus remix of Peter Gabriel’s Digging in the Dirt.

Worked with Peter Gabriel on the OVO project (music for the Millennium Dome show).

His film work includes the Discovery Atlas Series: Brazil Uncovered and a South African Breweries infomercial (10 minute film score).

In early 2009 Simon was asked to produce the bulk of the latest Spiro album Lightbox which has been received with much critical acclaim. “Sophisticated and adventurous” **** Guardian. “Refreshingly unnerving” **** Mojo.

In the past few years Simon has continued to push forward with the Afro Celt Sound System (a new album and tour in 2016), with two new albums by the Imagined Village and as Music Director of the Lush Cosmetics in-house record label.
