Abdelli is a member of the Kabyl people, part of the Berber culture.

They are a nomadic people from Algeria who are the original inhabitants of North Africa (7000 BC).

Abdelli has been playing since the age of seven.

At the age of twelve Uger Bouchem (a renowned Kabyl musician at the beginning of the century) gave him his mandola as a gift and asked him to carry on the Kabyl culture.

That he has done ever since.
